A little face lift

I thought it would be appropriate to start the new academic year with a new, more epic banner.

Enrolled and Ready to Go

Yesterday I enrolled in Character Animation at Central Saint Martins- University of the Arts London. Over the duration of the course i will be posting weekly updates of how things are going. So expect to see a lot more character designs, life drawings, animations and general rants about my work.
i hope that any regular viewers out there will continue to stop-by, and please don't be afraid to leave me a comment- just be gentle.

the journey continues....

Transport Doodles

I find that drawing on the tube makes the journey feel a lot more shorter and considerably more interesting so I'm gonna keep doing it. I am also growing bolder, for peering eyes and disgruntled faces no longer hinder me in my quest of self improvement.

critical note to self. i must pay closer attention to my structure or else i end up with disproportionate drawings.

Persistence will pay off... One day

Still along way to go in my drawing development but at least now i have the confidence to whip out the sketch book on public transport- well only twice but its a start.

Breca Now

The big man is complete! Unfortunately I won't be doing any more stop motion with him as he's too ridged and i fear that his head will fall off again. However i do intend to develop him further in 2D when i start character animation at CSM. I've been spending a lot of time thinking about his story and i cant wait to start working on it. As for now he remains as the ominous avatar of this blog.

Breca Then

Breca during his youth.
Many battles were won by his hands alone, unimaginable beast's were slain by his might, men drank merrily to his deeds and women were rendered weak at the knees by his chiseled abs, his lions maine and his astounding moostache.
what became of the man he once was is a tale of loathing and regret.... but that is a story for another time.

Keeping Busy

Just assuring my number one critic Oschon that i am doing more than just drawing. More details of my finished models will be uploaded next week-when i've cleaned my desk.

Felt tips Ready

As a way to loosen up in my drawings I put away my pencils and especially my ERASER and whipped out my felt tips. I think it helped.

While Sophia sleeps

My niece was over the house again and instead of trying to draw her while she was running around i waited until she finally had her afternoon nap. As i did Jess photographed us on the sly, she knows I don't like being watched while in draw!
